Build the Bridge to Self-Sufficiency

Every step forward for a family in South Texas begins with a community willing to stand with them. At Back on Your Feet (De Pie De Nuevo), we bring together individuals, businesses, and civic leaders to break the cycle of poverty across the Rio Grande Valley.

Whether you donate, volunteer, host a drive, or partner with us commercially, your support directly powers our 5 Core Pillars.

Make a Tax-Deductible Donation

Your direct financial support keeps our doors open and our programs free to the community.

  • Monthly Pillar Partner: Commit to a recurring monthly gift that stabilizes our day-to-day operations across food, clothing, transit, and workforce labs.

  • Pillar-Specific Giving:

    • $50/month funds IMAGE: Supplies an interview outfit and professional shoes for a job seeker.

    • $100/month funds FUEL: Provisions The Harvest Floor with fresh produce for local families.

Volunteer Your Time & Talents

We need hands-on community members to keep our five pillars running smoothly.

  • The Harvest Floor (FUEL): Assist in sorting, displaying, and distributing fresh produce in our choice-pantry market.

  • The Career Boutique (IMAGE): Serve as a personal stylist to help clients choose interview-ready attire and professional clothing.

  • The Opportunity Lab (PATH): Mentor job seekers by reviewing resumes, conducting mock interviews, or teaching basic computer skills.

  • Community Ambassadors: Help us represent Back on Your Feet at local health fairs, chamber mixers, and community outreach events.

Corporate & Business Partnerships

Local RGV businesses are the engine of our PATH and IMAGE programs. We partner with companies to create direct pipelines from crisis to employment.

  • Sponsor a Program Pillar: Fund a month of transit passes, career clothing, or produce distribution with prominent branding recognition on our site and marketing assets.

  • Host an In-Kind Drive: Organize a professional clothing drive, school uniform drive, or non-perishable food drive at your business or office.

  • Join Our Employer Network: Become an official hiring partner by offering direct job interview opportunities to qualified graduates of our Opportunity Lab.

Donate Items (In-Kind Contributions)

We accept new and gently-used items that directly support our programs:

  • Professional Attire: Suits, button-down shirts, blouses, slacks, work boots, and professional shoes.

  • School Uniforms: New or like-new polo shirts and slacks for local RGV students.

  • Technology: Functioning laptops, desktop computers, and monitors for The Opportunity Lab.

  • Fresh & Shelf-Stable Foods: Unopened, unexpired food items and fresh produce for The Harvest Floor.
